Using music as a vessel for emotional turmoil based on heartbreak, drug addiction, and mental illness, Ryly Laurent is a Louisville based singer/songwriter. Being inspired by divergent artists such as My Chemical Romance, Queen and Juice Wrld, Laurent is a cross-genre mix of hip hop, pop, and R&B. Having started his musical career by playing cello and creating EDM music, his goal is to help others find therapy within music, and focuses on lyrical content to remind people you’re not alone. Ryly states, “Fighting my internal struggles of depression and heartbreak was so hard for me. It felt like in a world where I was all alone that there was someone else going through the exact same thing as me when I listened to the musicians I loved. I want to do the same thing for other people.” Ryly will be releasing his debut single "Lay Low Gallows" on 9.23.22 available on all streaming and download sites.
